According to the 'Canon of Eclipses', this eclipse will last about 2.5 minutes. Its path will begin 50 km south of Calcutta, pass near Vienna Austria, and end about 50 km south of Nova Scotia. The track seems to pass through, or near Munich and Stuttgart. More precise eclipse plots will be available in the US Nautical Almanac in the 1999 issue which will be available in September, 1998. Also, the magazines Sky and Telescope and Astronomy have summaries of 'this years' events in their January, 1999 issue.
