Are there any questions that you are surprised were never asked by people visiting your site?

I am amazed that I received so FEW offers to read private manuscripts written by amateur cosmologists.

I find it hard to understand why I escaped being inundated by indignant visitors protesting my 'attitudes' about ESP, UFOs and Creationism. For some reason, my site has attracted a HUGE number of people supportive of science and not interested in these kind of discussions.

I was surprised to receive so few questions about the Sun's neighborhood in the Milky Way, or about the Milky Way itself. There were few questions about the life cycles of stars.

I was also surprised so few people asked about the details of how in the world astronomers know what they do. Few, if any, were curious about the scientific methodologies behind important discoveries. Even recent discoveries of planets orbiting nearby stars prompted very few questions about HOW the discoveries were made, or questions about what these planets might be like. As an astronomer, I find these kinds of questions very fascinating because they reveal how we have come to know the workings of the physical world with such amazing accuracy.

I am amazed that I was never directly asked by many whether I believe in God.

Very few people, if any, asked me to describe NASA's future, or our future with space exploration. No one asked how many rocket launches occur every year, how large our commercial commitment to space is, or what are the main impediments to colonizing the solar system and beyond.
