Can you see both Mercury and Venus at midnight from some places on Earth?

The maximum eastern and western elongation of Mercury is only about 10 degrees from the Sun. At the poles, if the Sun were just below the horizon on the day after the Vernal Equinox (S. Pole) or the Autumnal Equinox (N. Pole) you could in in fact have Mercury near its maximum eastern or western elongations and also have Venus in the sky at midnight local time.
