Will the Sun blow up before it gets to Hercules at 70,000 kilometers/sec?

Well...the Sun is moving at a speed of something like 20 kilometers/sec towards its local apex near Lyra/Hercules. The distances to the stars there are in the neighborhood of a few hundred parsecs or less so the Sun will make it there in only 5 - 10 million years. Not enough time for the Sun to do anything interesting.
