Could Hyakutake and Kohoutek have been 'interstellar comets'?

I suppose this is possible, however, we do not know what is typical for the element abundances of comets outside the so-called Kuiper Belt. Presumably, they must have something like the interstellar medium abundances of the elements since they are the most pristine material that went into the primordial solar nebula when it collapsed to form our solar system.
