How does the Hubble Space Telescope lock onto a particular direction without running out of steering gases?

The Hubble Space Telescope has NO thrusters or steering rockets of any kind because any such station-keeping devices are too dirty, and the exhaust gases would soon coat the optics. Instead, the pointing of the instrument is changed gyroscopically. Visit the Hubble Space Telescope web site to search for more details.
