How do you explain to 8th grade students the difference between planets, stars and moons?

The differences are not very complicated and 8th grade students should have understood this distinction by 6th grade. 'Moons' orbit planets; planets and moons shine by reflected light from a nearby star; stars produce their own light internally most often by thermonuclear reactions in their cores.
