How can science be a sufficient explanation of the world when so many other channels exist for exploring the world such as emotions, intuition and ESP?

Because none of these are relevant to characterizing any aspect of the external, objective world. They are embellishments that we, as humans, add to implacable and completely quality-neutral objects and phenomena in the world. And there is no evidence that ESP works at all. Also, we see again and again that intuition is badly flawed when describing unfamiliar aspects of the physical world. My intuition as a scientist is not at al like your intuition, or that of my next-door neighbor. We work in very different domains, and so our intuition, insights and 'common sense' are very different.
