I do not know. Perhaps you could download some .GIF files and use a shareware image converter to translate .GIF to .TIF format? That way you could visit the Hubble Space Telescope Web Site and download some spectacular images to manipulate. Of course the dynamic range will be very much less than that of the full scientific data. But for educational purposes this may suffice.
